INGREDIENTS :
1. Basmati Rice : 1 and ½ cups.
2. Cumin Seeds : 2 tsps.
3. Bay Leaf : 1 or 2.
4. Cardamom : 2
5. Cinnamon : 2 “ stick.
6. Ghee : 1 and ½ tsps.
7. Salt to taste.
METHOD :
1. Wash rice and soak in water for ½ an hour or a little more and drain excess water.
2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.
3. Add bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom and cumin seeds.4. When cumin seeds start to crackle, add the rice.
5. Add salt to taste.
6. Mix well.
7. Add water ½” above the surface of rice.
8. Cook till 2 or 3 whistles in Cooker.
9. Serve hot.
